I made it through another day
of Colin whining all day long. I think he is teething because he has been extra fussy lately and he won't hardly eat his bottles. I have been putting stuff on his gums to numb them and that helps a little, but they still seem to bother him. He is 7 1/2 months old and still has no teeth. He has seriously been teething for the past 5 months. By the way he has been acting, I really think he should have his first tooth anytime now. The kids and I are headed to Alamo tomorrow. Jaidyn and I went up a few weeks ago for a few hours for a funeral. Other than that, we haven't been up since the 4th of July. It will be good for the kids. They love going to grandma's house. I have a hair appointment on Saturday morning and then we will come home shortly after that. So I have been doing some of my christmas shopping here and there for a few months now. That way we don't have to spend a crap load of money at one time. Well I am almost all done with Jaidyn. I ordered her the cutest watch today for Christmas. I got it on disney.com. It has a pink band and the face has minnie on it and also has Jaidyn's name. You can customize your own and they had a princess one as well. I of course wanted to get her a watch with cinderella on the face, but Eric insisted that we get her the Minnie one because he likes it better. She will love it either way. She loves to wear other people's watches, so she will be excited to have her own. Eric and I's one year anniversary is coming up in a month and a half. Well at first I had no idea what to get him, but I found the best present for him that I know he will love. I got him a pass to go ride in one of the indy race cars at the speedway. You get to ride for 8 laps. He is going to love it. They have a pass where you can drive, but those were a little too expensive. I know he will love this one just as much. I can't wait now for October to get here so I can give it to him.

Still car searching
A few weeks ago I posted a blog about the black durango that I really wanted. Well that is gone. I guess we waited too long. Mostly it's because Eric couldn't decide if he for sure wanted a durango. Well he finally told me the other day that I could get one, so to be looking for the one I wanted. Of course we have to get a used one because the new ones are too expensive. Well they have a few on autotrader.com that I really want. There are 2 red ones and I like both of them alot. The only thing is we are trying to sell my car before we get it. We were going to trade in my car for one, but after looking on kelley blue book, we saw that my car is worth $2,000 more if we sell it private party. So Eric is going to get it washed tonight and take pictures of it so we can put it on a few websites to try and sell it. I am not sure how quickly it will sell. I sure hope we can sell it and get one of the red durangos that I want before they are both gone. I signed Jaidyn up for a tumbling class that starts next month. It is every Saturday for 45 minutes for 6 weeks. I really hope she likes it. If so, I will continue signing her up for them. The only thing that sucks is that it is over on North Cimmaron which is kind of far from where we live. That was the only tumbling class I could find for kids her age. Oh well, it will be worth it if she likes it. I also ordered her a cute little leotard to wear. I can't wait for it to start!

A good nights sleep.
I slept so good last night, I couldn't even believe it. I usually don't get as much sleep as I did last night. I went to bed around 10 and slept in until 8:00 this morning. I mean of course I had to get up once to give colin his sucker, but that was it. Eric woke up and fed Colin this morning. Yesterday afternoon, Jamie texted me to see if I wanted to hang out last night. So I said sure why not, I never go out and do anything. So we went to dinner at Macayo's and then we went to the Red Rock to gamble a little bit. Well just when I thought that I was going to be going home with $40 less than what I went there with, I hit something on the wheel of fortune game.I had no idea how much I had won. I just kept watching the money get higher and higher. It finally stopped at $320. I couldn't even believe that I won that much money. I was so excited! I cashed out right then and there. I really didn't want to push my luck. On Thursday Jamie, the kids and I went to the mall. I have been wanting to get my ears pierced for a long time, but I have been to scared. Don't ask me why since I have had them pierced a couple of times already. They had closed up though and there was no way I could get an earring through. Well I was finally brave enough to do it on Thursday at the mall. I am so glad I did because of course it didn't even hurt.

Tuesday
I couldn't think of a better title. Today is Eric's birthday, so I invited his sister, her husband and Eric's brother over for dinner and cake tonight. I ordered Eric a St.Louis Cardinals birthday cake. He doesn't know about it, I thought I would surprise him with it. He loves the cardinals! The kids and I went and picked it up earlier and we also went to Target and I found some cool baseball candles to put on it. I am so retarded, when we were at Target, I got some paper towels and I had to put them on the bottom of the cart because there isn't room in the basket with Jaidyn in there. Well anyways I paid for the paper towels and everything and then I went off and forgot them on the bottom of the cart. I can't believe I did that because I never forget stuff like that. I think I was just frazzled because Jaidyn was being naughty and I was stressing about picking up the cake. So I guess I will be making another trip to target someday this week to get more paper towels. I am a little nervous about making dinner for everyone. I am making barbequed chicken and rolls and I made up some suddenly salad this morning for dinner. I have made it a few times and it always turns out so good, but I get nervous when I have to cook for other people. I always worry that they won't like it. Eric and I were planning a trip to Disneyland in November. Well when I looked on the disneyland website last week, It's A Small World is closed the rest of the year and Pirates Of The Caribbean is also closed for a couple of weeks when we were planning on going. I was sad because of course I don't want to go when both of those rides are closed. They are my favorite rides. So now we are thinking that we might have to go to Disneyland in October. It's A Small World will still be closed, but Pirates of The Caribbean won't be. I of course would love to go in December, but we asked Eric's parents to go with us and that won't work for them. So I guess we will see what happens.

It's been a long day
Today my sister Jamie, Jaidyn and I drove to Alamo for a funeral. We left about 8:00 this morning and headed up there. The funeral started at 11 and it lasted for 2 hours. After it was over, we went back to my mom's house and she made lunch for us. We left about 30 minutes after that. It was a very quick trip up and back. I think Jaidyn enjoyed going up for just a bit. I was glad she didn't start crying when we left. Usually when we go to grandma's house, we stay for a couple of days. Well I wasn't sure if she would be sad or not that we were only there for a few hours. She seemed fine with it. I think she was worried that I was going to leave her there because Jamie had told her that I was going to, so I think she didn't mind that we were leaving, as long as she was going with me. When I got home, Colin had been being really fussy, but as soon as I picked him up, he was so happy and he couldn't stop laughing and smiling. I think he just missed me today. I guess it's a good thing I didn't go to Cali last weekend without him. He probably would have cried all weekend.lol Jamie and I wanted to swim after we got home, but Eric needed to clean out the pool because our neighbors have a tree that hangs over our wall and the leaves are always falling in the pool. So we will have to wait until tomorrow to swim. So Jaidyn has slept in our bed with Eric and I since she was under a year old. She never will sleep anywhere else. Well we finally decided that we were going to buy her a dora toddler bed and dora bedding set and put her toddler bed in our room with us. She says she will sleep in it, so I hope she really will. It will be so nice if Eric and I can have the bed all to ourselves. Everynight, I am squished up against the wall all night and Jaidyn is constantly kicking me in the face. Her bed should be here sometime next week, I really can't wait to see if she will sleep in it. The potty training thing is still not going so well. She just starts freaking out as soon as I tell her she needs to go into the bathroom to try and go potty. I don't know what her deal is, but it is getting really frustrating. The frustrating part is that I can't force her to go in there, when she seems so scared of it. But at the same time, I want her to get potty trained as soon as she can. I just don't even know what to do. I seriously can't make her go in there because she runs away and unless I sit there and hold her down on the toilet, there is no way to keep her sitting on it. I don't know why she is so afraid of it. I just hope she will do it soon and not be afraid. My brother in law is going to call her and pretend like he is elmo and tell her she needs to go potty. I sure hope that helps. She loves elmo so much so maybe if he is telling her to go potty like a big girl, she will do it.

Potty Training
So I tried potty training Jaidyn a few months ago and it didn't work. At first she would go into the bathroom, only if I bribed her with something. Well then it got to the point where she would throw a huge fit if I tried to take her in there to go. So her pediatrician said not to force her, that she will go when she is ready. Well here she is, over 2 years old and still won't go. On Sunday after we got home from our trip she told Eric that she had to poop, so he took her into the bathroom and sure enough she did. She was so proud of herself. So I thought, this is good maybe now she will pee in the potty too. Well yesterday I decided to put big girl panties on her because I heard that if you did that and they peed on themselves, then they would hate it so much, that after that they would start telling you when they had to go. Well that didn't work with her. She peed all over the first time and it didn't even bother her. In fact she didn't even tell me about it. I noticed it when I walked into the kitchen. So I got it all cleaned up and changed her panties and then a couple hours later she did the same thing. I had been taking her into the bathroom all morning long and she wouldn't pee. So I finally decided that I can't be cleaning up pee all day long. I put her back in her pull up and still continued to take her to the bathroom every so often. She started to get to the point where she would throw a fit if I even tried to take her in there. Well first thing this morning her pull up was dry so I told her we needed to go into the bathroom so she could go potty. She kicked and screamed as I picked her up to go in there. I set her on the toilet and about 2 minutes later she peed .We were so proud of her, we even gave her a special treat. Well that didn't seem to help because all day I have taken her in and she is still throwing a fit and still peeing in her pull up. I just don't know what to do to get her potty trained. I don't understand why she will poop in the big potty, but not go pee.

Home
As fun as our trip was, I am so happy to be home. The trip seemed to go by so fast and we weren't able to do everything we wanted to do. Jaidyn really wanted to go to the beach and we kept telling her that we would, but we just didn't have time. By the time we got to San Diego on Friday and checked into our room, we were all exhausted. So we ordered some pizza and had it delivered to the room. Then after we ate, we left the kids with my mom and grandma and we went and got gas. Well I have to say that trying to find a gas station in San Diego is not as easy as it sounds. Not downtown anyways. We finally found one, but it didn't even have food or drinks. So we drove around until we finally found a chevron with food and drinks. Then after that we went back to our hotel room and went to bed. I woke up really early on Saturday and got ready before anyone else was even awake. Then after everyone got ready, we left for Seaworld. Eric and I took Jaidyn to the elmo breakfast first thing while Andrea,Jamie,my mom, my grandma and Colin went and walked around. I would have to say that the elmo breakfast was definately worth the $40. The food wasn't very good, but Jaidyn got to have her picture with all of her favorite sesame street characters and she was so excited!! Here is one of the pictures she got with Elmo.
Everyone was ready to leave seaworld around 2:00 or so. Eric and I wanted to stay with Jaidyn, so we sent Colin with everyone else so that he could go back to the hotel and sleep. We were starving by the time we got back to the hotel. Eric and I were really wanting The Outback, but everyone else just felt like fast food. So Andrea and Jamie offered to babysit the kids for us while we went to The Outback to eat. It was so nice for Eric and I to go to dinner by ourselves. Once we got back to the hotel, we were so tired that we went to bed. Colin woke us up at 4:40 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep so I got up and started getting all of our stuff ready to go. We left the hotel around 7:30. We just drove straight through all the way to Baker. Then we just stopped in Baker for some lunch and continued home. We got home about 1:00. I have to say that I was really surprised at how good Colin was on this trip. He barely cried at all the whole trip. Even in the truck, he just slept and played with Eric most of the time. Eric and I were planning a trip to Disneyland in November and we were going to just take Jaidyn and leave Colin home, but now I think we might take him since he did so good on this trip.
