A new betsey purse

So as I said on my last post that I saw a betsey johnson purse that i really wanted. Well when I got home on Saturday I told Eric how badly I wanted it. I knew he would probably end up letting me get it for my birthday even though he acted like he wasn't going to get it for. Well anyways on Sunday evening he told me that we were going to drive down to the fashion show mall and he was going to buy me that purse and it could be my anniversary present. Our anniversary isn't for another month, but those purses sell quick and they don't make very many of each kind, so he let me get it early before it was gone. So I went down and bought it. So now I am thinking Eric probably bought me the betsey johnson perfume that I want for my birthday in a few weeks. He told me this would have to be my anniversary present which leads me to believe that he already got me a birthday present and since I asked for the perfume, I am sure that is what I am getting. I told him to blame Jamie for the fact that I have to buy expensive Betsey purses. I used to buy cheap purses from Target that would last me a year and now I have two betsey purses that I have bought within the last 3 months and they have both cost me about $100. I promised him I would make this purse last me all winter long. So last night I woke up at about midnight feeling really sick to my stomach, well I layed awake for about an hour before i went into the bathroom and got sick. From that point on, i was awake the rest of the night. Of course I woke up with a killer headache. Eric had to go into work this morning, but he got off at 11:00 and came home to help with the kids so I could rest a bit. Well of course that didn't happen. I went upstairs to lay down and all I could hear the whole time was Colin crying, then jaidyn came barging into our bedroom and then there was no way I could go to sleep. I still have a bit of a headache, but it isn't near as bad and at least my stomach isn't hurting anymore.

Working again

I got a call from my sister Samantha yesterday and she said they needed to find someone to come and file for them, so she wanted to know if i wanted to do it. She told me she would give me a key and I could come in anytime on the weekend when I have time to do it. Every weekend I will file everything from that week. She said it will take anywhere from 3 hours or more every week. That doesn't seem like much, but they are going to pay me $12 an hour. That is awesome. That will give me at least $100 extra every month, hopefully even more if I can file for more than 3 hours every week. That will help out with buying christmas presents and with paying some of our bills. I told her I had to think about it, but after I thought about it I thought this would be a great oppurtunity. Not only will I make some extra money, but I will be there all alone so I can just listen to music while I file. I used to do the filing a couple of years ago when I was the receptionist, so I pretty much remember how to do most of it. Jamie will have to go over some of it again with me, just to make sure I know exactly what to do. I am actually kind of excited to do it. I will get out of the house by myself every weekend. I really wish I could go file first thing on Saturday mornings, but Jaidyn is starting her tumbling classes a week from yesterday, so I will have to either go file on Saturday afternoons or Sunday morning. I think I will probably just wake up early on Sunday's and go do it then. Another good thing is that Sam told me if I said yes and then didn't like doing it, then I can always just tell her later that I don't want to do it. That is good to know, just in case I don't like it. Yesterday jamie and I went to the fashion show mall and walked around. We found the cutest betsey johnson purse that we both loved, but it is $88. Well I knew Eric would kill me if I bought a purse for that much. I already have a betsey purse I bought a few months ago and it cost over $100. So anyways when we got home I told him about it and how much i wanted it. I have a feeling he might get it for me either for my birthday in a few weeks or for our anniversary that is a month away. I gotta get cleaning the house. It is pretty clean for the most part, but the kitchen needs cleaned up a bit. Eric's family will be coming over at noon for lunch, so I better get a move on it.

A boring week

This week sure has been a boring week compared to last week. Last week we left our house almost everyday. This week we went shopping on Monday and other than that, the kids and I haven't left the house at all. I feel bad, but it is just too hot outside. Plus we have nowhere to go. I can't wait for it to get cooler out so the kids and I can go to the park in the day. Jaidyn loves playing at the park and Colin loves being outside, so the park will be a perfect place to go. This weekend we are having Eric's brother, sister and her husband over for lunch. It is Eric's brothers birthday so we figured we would have everyone over. We are just going to buy a few different deli meats and deli rolls, some chips and then I will make some dip for lunch. We are also going to get him a cake. Jaidyn will be excited to have everyone over. She loves when people come over to visit. It doesn't happen often though. We hardly ever have visitors these days. Jamie used to come over alot after work, but now she has school after work, so she is too busy. I wish we could move to Alamo. Then Jaidyn could see her grandma and Andrea and the boys more often. She would love that. Eric and I have been talking about it alot lately. I keep telling him that Jaidyn starts preschool in a year and that no matter what we will be living in Alamo by then. He knows I am serious when I say she won't go to school down here, but I think he is worried about making the drive back and forth. I don't blame him because I definately don't want him to have to do that, but that is pretty much the only option at this point since there is no work in Alamo for him. Plus he could stay with his brother a few nights a week so he wouldn't have to drive back and forth everyday. I worry if Eric waits too long, then the house we want will be sold. The other day Jaidyn asked me about Santa. She loves Santa and she will talk about him all the time. Well anyways I told her she would need to make a list of what she wanted Santa to bring her for Christmas. So she told me she wanted a teddy bear and ice cream.lol I told her Santa couldn't leave ice cream under our tree because it would melt. Well she doesn't care, she still keeps saying that is what she wants santa to bring her.lol

What a disaster

the pictures turned out to be on Saturday. I was so worried about Colin the whole time and he was actually really good. He smiled big and was sitting there being good the whole time. Jaidyn however, she was such a mess. She wouldn't sit still for the pictures and she ran away from us twice. She ran really far too. I think if there wouldn't have been people around, Eric might have beat her.lol I have never seen him so mad at her before. I was mad too. All I wanted was to get some good pictures of the kids together and I thought for sure the whole time that there wouldn't be any good ones with Jaidyn in them. Well once we were finally able to look at the pictures, there were some good ones of the kids together and even a couple good ones of Jaidyn by herself. I don't know how that happened, but I am so glad that we got some good ones. Eric and I were going to do family pictures in a few months to send out christmas cards, but after Saturday I am not so sure I want to go through that again.lol After we got home from getting pictures done, Eric's whole family came over to visit and have dinner. They were here the whole day and left about 6:00. Jaidyn fell asleep about 5 minutes after they left because she hadn't napped all day and she was down for the night. Colin went to bed about 30 minutes later. So Eric and I were able to rent a movie and watch it without any interruptions. We watched the movie Vantage Point. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it was ok. Jaidyn has been doing so good sleeping in her own bed. We had to move it right up against our bed so that she could still touch Eric, but at least she is sleeping in her own bed. She has slept in it all week. In a week or so we will slowly start to move her bed away from ours. Yesterday Jamie came over and we went shopping. We went to Mervyn's, Target and JCPenney's. I found some really nice running shoes and a really comfy new comforter for our bed and all of that only cost me $80. I thought that was a great deal. I got both things for almost half off. I used to be so good about using the treadmill, but I haven't used it in a few months. I figured maybe if I bought some new running shoes, that would motivate me to get on there more often. I have a goal to lose 5 lbs before we get family pictures in a couple of months. Today Eric, the kids and I went to the fashion show mall to look around and then we headed over to Town Square. It was pretty hot outside, but I mostly wanted to go to Anchor Blue and Aeropostale and they are right next to each other. I went in to Anchor Blue first and found a pair of jeans and 2 new shirts. So I was pretty happy that i didn't have to go in to anymore stores. Well I think I will try to go get on the treadmill now.

3 days this week.

We have left our house 3 days this week. That is alot for the kids and I. Usually we don't go out. Sometimes we will run to target or something like that, but that is about it. Well since Eric's mom has been here, we have gone out to lunch with her twice this week and did a little shopping and today we drove over to TMA and went to lunch with Jamie. It sure does make the day go by alot faster when we leave the house. Even if we are only going to get some lunch. I am so glad that Eric has a 3 day weekend. We won't be doing anything special this weekend, but it will be nice to have him home for one extra day. Tomorrow the kids have their picture appointment and then Eric's whole family is coming over for an early dinner around 2:00. His parents are leaving to go back to Illinois on Sunday morning, so we won't see them again until the beginning of November. I made a cake today that my mom always makes for us when we go up there and I love it. It is called Better Than Sex Cake. Well I made it for tomorrow for when everyone comes over. I sure hope it tastes ok. Today was my first time making it. Well I should probably go make jaidyn some dinner. She keeps telling me she wants a grilled cheese sandwich.

Wednesday

This week has been flying by. I know it is only Wednesday, but usually the week goes by so slow. Well the last two days sure haven't. On Monday we just hung out around the house and didn't really do a whole lot. Yesterday Eric's mom came over and we went out to lunch and went to target to get some things. Then she spent the whole rest of the day here and made dinner for us last night. It was nice to have someone to visit with. Jaidyn loves having her grandma here. Eric's parents are only here about every 6 weeks and they usually just stay for a few days at a time. Eric's dad had to drive to Minnesota with Eric's brother this week so Eric's mom is all by herself. She asked me last night if we would want to go to lunch again today and go to Wal Mart. I said sure why not. It is always nice to get out of the house. I am not sure where we will go for lunch today, but yesterday we went to Macayo's. We have to get a card table at Wal Mart because whenever we have Eric's whole family over for dinner, there is never enough room for everyone to sit, so we are going to pick up a card table so there are more places to sit. I bought Jaidyn some really cute pearl earrings from Zales. They are for Christmas of course. That is the last present I am buying her besides the pajamas that she will open on Christmas Eve. I also ordered her Halloween Costume the other day. I got her a princess costume. I got it at Wal mart and it was so much cheaper than buying it from anywhere else. I can't wait for it to get here. I haven't ordered Colin's costume yet. I think I will wait until closer to Halloween since he seems to be growing so much. I wouldn't want it to be too small by the time Halloween comes around.

Pictures

I finally made an appointment at JCPenneys to get pictures done of Colin and Jaidyn. I feel awful because Colin has never had pictures done before. I had his pictures done in the hospital and other than that, we just have pictures we take at home. I know that is awful of me, but I have always been so scared to take him to get pictures. Mostly because he is always whining, I didn't think he would be able to sit through pictures. Secondly because it is so expensive to get pictures done. I haven't had Jaidyn's pictures done since last Christmas. So they have an appointment to get pictures next Saturday. Eric kept telling me to just wait and we would get family pictures done in November or December. Well I was feeling bad that they haven't had theirs done, so I decided I would get pictures of just the two of them this time and we can do family pictures in a few months. I hope it turns out well. I am a little nervous of how both the kids will do. The kids and I left for Alamo on Thursday morning and got home yesterday. Jaidyn has a fun time. She loves going to grandma's house. Colin was his usual self.lol I was supposed to have a hair appointment on Saturday, but the water wasn't working in the hair salon, so I couldn't get it done. Thats ok though because my mom trimmed up my hair and that is pretty much all I needed done. We got home nice and early yesterday morning. Then around 2:30 we left for a bbq at my sister Sam's house. She had over all of the family(minus Andrea's family and my mom and grandma). Also she had our friends Shawn and Megan and their little boy Gunnar and my cousin and his wife and little girl. It was good for Jaidyn because my cousin's little girl is 22 months, so she isn't that much younger than Jaidyn and they had a good time swimming and playing together. It was also good to see my dad because I haven't seen him in so long because he is always working. Today we have pretty much just been hanging out around the house. We all went to JCPenney earlier and we made the kids picture appointment and I found a cute white polo shirt for Colin to wear for his pictures. I am going to have him wear that and some jean shorts and I already have an outfit for Jaidyn to wear that will match perfectly with Colin's.
