Saturday night

It is 7:30 on a Saturday night and I am already ready for bed. These last two days have been very long days. We went to Alamo first thing on Thursday morning. When we got there my mom said she couldn't really see out of her eye very well and it was really bothering her. As the day went on, it got worse. So she finally decided she better call her doctor in st.george and they made her an appointment for Friday morning. My mom felt really bad that we were going to have to leave early on Friday instead of Friday evening like we had planned. I didn't mind because it wasn't her fault, she really needed to have her eye checked out. On Thursday night I hardly slept at all because Colin kept waking up and Jaidyn woke up at 3:00 and was wide awake for a half an hour. I couldn't go back to sleep knowing she was awake. She finally fell back asleep and at 4:30 her and Colin both woke up and was ready to get out of bed. We left Alamo around 7:00 when my mom and Andrea left to head to St.George. My mom went to the doctor and found out that she had a detached retina. She needed to have the surgery right away because if you don't, you can go blind. Thankfully they caught hers early, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. They couldn't do the surgery she needed in St.George, so they sent her to Vegas. Jamie met Andrea and my mom at the glendale turnoff and brought my mom to Vegas for her surgery. My poor mom had her surgery last night and for the next week, she can only lay on her right side and she has to keep her head down at all times. I feel so bad because she is so uncomfortable. Even when she is sitting up, her neck starts to hurt from having to keep her head down. At least she only has to do this for a week because with some people, they have to lay on their stomach for up to 6 weeks after getting that done. It can also take up to 6 weeks for my mom to have her vision back in that eye. Hopefully she can see good before then. So now we aren't sure if she will be able to go to disneyland with us or not. I really hope she can because I was really looking forward to her coming with us. She is staying at Sam's house for this whole week so that someone can take care of her in the day since my grandma isn't in Alamo. I woke up early this morning and my mom text me and she was awake, so I headed over there to visit. I was there for a few hours. I came home and Eric's sister came over to visit for a bit. Then Jamie text me to see if I wanted to go to the mall. I needed to get Colin some shoes, so the kids and I met Jamie at the mall. The mall was so crowded. We shopped around in a few stores and I finally found Colin some gray converse at Journeys Kidz that I really liked. They had tons of cute shoes, but I thought these were the cutest. They will go with all of his clothes. He did not like me putting them on him. He whined the whole time. After we got home from the mall, Jaidyn wanted to go outside and ride her scooter. So we went out there for a while and she got bored real fast. It felt really nice outside, so we decided to take the kids to the park. We usually take them to a park on town center, but their swings have been gone for a few weeks, so we decided to take them to a different park so that Jaidyn could swing. We took them to desert breeze park. I didn't like it very much because it seems really dirty compared to the park we are used to going to. The kids sure did enjoy it though. I wanted to buy my mom a new laptop because she has wanted one for a while and since she has always done so much to help Eric and I out, I thought it would be nice if we bought her one. I found a really nice one at best buy for a really good price. It has alot of reviews and almost all of them were good. They didn't have it in the stores, so I had to order it online. I had it shipped to my house, so I am really hoping it is here in time for my mom to take home with her on Friday.
