What a great deal

I got today on a hotel. I went onto priceline.com and you can bid on how much you want to pay for a hotel room. We are going to Disneyland in December and I wanted to book the hotel now. I always start as low as I can and work my way up. So yesterday I bid $30 on a 3 star hotel and it didn't accept so I went to $40 and it didn't accept that either. So today I finally did $50 and it did accept it. With taxes and fees and everything else, it only came to $63 for a 3 star hotel. I thought that was pretty awesome. We never get rooms for that cheap. With priceline it doesn't tell you what hotel you have until after you bid. So when it finally showed me what hotel we are staying at, it is a Holiday Inn that is close to Disneyland. Eric and I stayed at that same hotel a couple of years ago when we went to Disneyland. It wasn't too far from Disneyland, we walked there one night. Although it took us a while.This time we will be driving since we are going straight to Disneyland when we get to Cali. Also the hotel has free parking. That is always a plus since parking is always expensive at hotels. Of course we have stayed at much nicer hotels by Disneyland, but I figured since we are only staying for one night and we won't be spending much time in our room besides to sleep, then we would just be a little cheaper and get one that isn't as nice. Both the kids have been sick for a couple of days. Well Jaidyn got sick in Alamo last weekend and I thought she was getting better, but today her nose is really stuffy and runny again. Colin hasn't been feeling good either. I am not sure why, but he has been sleeping alot and his forehead has felt so hot. I have been taking his temperature, but it says he doesn't have a fever. I have been giving him motrin though and that seems to help so his forehead isn't so warm. I feel bad for him because I can tell he really doesn't feel good. I wonder if maybe he is getting a tooth. I sure hope so. Poor little guy is almost 10 months old and still has no teeth. Eric got a call yesterday from the Nevada Highway Patrol. He had put a resume in a while back for the dispatcher position and they called him and want him to take the test. He says he is going to. I don't know why he would want to be a dispatcher, but I guess if that is what he wants to do, then fine by me. He is supposed to call them back though and he is really bad about stuff like that, so we will see if he ever even calls back. We are leaving for Alamo again on Friday. I can't wait. I love going up there. Jamie, the kids and I are leaving early on Friday and Eric and Samantha are leaving work early and riding up together. It should be fun to have everyone up there. Today the kids and I went over to TMA to visit and then went to The Olive Garden with Jamie for lunch. Colin was a little whiny, so we had to rush a bit. He was so tired though and him and Jaidyn both slept the whole way home.

Home Early

So we were supposed to be in Alamo right now and come home this evening.However, I decided yesterday that we would come home last night. That way the kids could see Eric last night and then I could get laundry done today while Eric is at work. He is doing inventory today so he will be gone most of the day. He left at 6:30 this morning, so Jaidyn didn't even get to see him before he left for work. We ended up going to Alamo on Wednesday instead of Thursday. I was bored and my mom had taken Thursday off of work, so I figured it would be nice to go up a day early and spend more time there. We left here around 11 on Wednesday, so by the time we got there, we only had a couple of hours until Andrea and my mom got off of work. On Thursday Andrea and I went and got our haircut by Jenna. Mine had gotten pretty long, so I decided to cut it shoulder length. It looks exactly how I wanted it to. Jenna does such an awesome job and she only charged $20 for the cut. She even styled it too. On Thursday night we went to Tyson's football game. We couldn't stay for the whole game because Colin was getting fussy because he was tired and it was really cold outside. His game didn't start until 7:00 and by that time it was freezing outside. Yesterday we just hung around my mom's house and didn't do a whole lot. Jaidyn and i were sick the whole time we were in Alamo and yesterday I just felt exhausted. Colin woke up before 5 on Thursday and he woke up barely after 5 yesterday, so not only was I tired from waking up so early, but being sick was also wearing me out. I got in a nice nap yesterday afternoon though. Colin fell asleep and Jaidyn was playing with my mom and grandma, so I took a nap in my mom's comfy bed. We left Alamo a little after 5 yesterday evening. Eric got home from work right before we got home. The kids were so glad to see him. I didn't get to really visit with him last night. As soon as we got home, I unpacked and by the time I was done doing that and cleaning up around here, it was time for bed. I guess today I will just be doing laundry and cleaning up the kitchen. I hope today goes by fast because I can't wait for Eric to get home.

Cupcakes...YUMMY!

So today I had to go to Target to get a few things for Colin. While I was there I decided I would get stuff to make cupcakes. I have been baking alot lately and I make either a cake or cookies at least once every two weeks. Well I haven't made cupcakes in a while so I decided it was about time. I got the package with some cute halloween decorations to go on them. Here is a picture of the cute cupcakes I made today, with Jaidyn's help of course.

I haven't had one yet, but they sure do look good. Last night I was sitting on the couch watching tv while Eric played with the kids in the playroom. Jaidyn came in and told me that she was going to the store to get a max and ruby movie. I asked Eric if he told her that he would take her and he hadn't. Well of course once I asked him that he said he would take her if she wanted to go get one. Talk about spoiled. All she had to say was that she wanted a new movie and of course Eric got right up and took her to best buy. Not like she doesn't have enough movies already. They were gone for a long time and when they finally got home, she had gotten 2 new movies. They couldn't find the Max and Ruby video she wanted, but they got a different one that is even better. It is a christmas one and it comes with 2 discs and a book. She also got a new wiggles movie that Eric said she insisted on having. The kids and I are leaving for Alamo on Thursday and I can't wait. We will be leaving early on Thursday and coming home on Saturday afternoon. I am going to get my hair cut while I am in Alamo. It is getting pretty long and so I think I am going to get it cut shoulder length.

Monday

I keep forgetting to mention that Colin has been crawling now. He just started crawling a couple of weeks ago. Now he is crawling all over the place. The kids and I went for a walk this morning. It was nice outside and the kids love going for walks. The weather said it was 64 degrees out because we went around 8:30 this morning. However it felt to me like it was MUCH warmer. We didn't do a whole lot this weekend. Jamie came over for dinner on Friday night and ended up staying the night. Then on Saturday her and I went over to TMA and I filed. I decided on Friday night that I didn't really want to do the filing anymore. I just figured it was going to be difficult because I will be gone the next two weekends and Eric's parents will be here the weekend after that. Well the weekend is the only time I can go in and file. Sam had told me in the beginning that if I didn't like doing it, then that was fine because she had some other people interested in doing it if I didn't want to. So I told her last Saturday would be my last day. It was nice to have the extra money, but it sucked to drive all the way across town every Saturday and that didn't leave a whole lot of time for Eric, the kids and I to do things together. While I was at work on Saturday Eric called me and told me he wanted us to carve pumpkins on Saturday night. I know Halloween isn't for 2 more weeks, but since the kids and I will be gone for the next two weekends, this last weekend was the only time to do it. So Jamie and I went to Wal Mart after work and picked up the pumpkins and a carving kit. She came over and we carved 2 huge pumpkins. Jamie and I pretty much did it all because Jaidyn wasn't interested and Eric just didn't want to do the carving. Here is a picture of the pumpkins we carved.

It isn't the best picture, but we took it with Jamie's phone. So anyways after we were all done with that, we were tired, so Jamie decided to stay the night again. On Sunday morning we woke up and got some donuts, then headed to Jamie's apartment so that I could help her move some stuff. She is moving out of her apartment next week. She was throwing away most of her stuff since she has all new stuff. So I took the truck over and we got all of her stuff moved out, except for the things that she will be moving over to Sam's house next weekend. After that, I came home and was lazy for most of the day. I was very sore from moving all of the furniture, plus I had gotten a flu shot on Saturday, so my arm was already pretty sore from that. Last night we took the kids to the park and were there for about an hour. After we came home, Colin went straight to bed and Jaidyn got a bath and soon after that,we all went to bed. I think we were in bed before 8:30. This morning I went through all of Jaidyn's toys. I have a huge garbage bag full of toys I am going to take to the goodwill(if they will take them). I also have a smaller bag of toys I am going to take up to my mom's so that the kids will have more to play with up there. Jaidyn and Colin will both be getting alot of toys for christmas, so I figured it was probably time to get rid of alot of the old toys.

Colin's 9 month checkup

Colin went in for his 9 month checkup today. Just as I thought, he hadn't really grown much since his 6 month checkup. Today he weighed 21 lbs 14 oz. That is only 8 oz. more than he weighed 3 months ago. He measured 29.75 inches tall. That is only 1.75 inches taller than he was 3 months ago. The doctor said he looks very healthy and is doing everything he is supposed to be doing at this age. She did say however that he is as tall as an average 18 month old baby. She told me he will definately be tall when he gets older. I kind of figured he would be. Jaidyn is also pretty tall for her age. When I got there, they told me he wouldn't have to get any shots today since it was just his 9 month checkup. I asked his doctor though if I should have his flu shot done while I was there or just take him to walgreens or something. She told me if I got it done there, it was covered under the copayment, so I wouldn't have to pay anything extra. So he ended up having to get that one shot. I have to take him back in exactly one month to get a booster shot since this is the first time he has gotten a flu shot. I was a little nervous for Colin's appointment because he was going to have to see a new doctor because his doctor is gone on maternity leave. Well anyways it turns out that I like this new doctor even more than his old one. I have always liked his doctor alot, but this new doctor is even nicer and she told me alot of useful information that I wouldn't have known otherwise. So I think when he has to go back to his 12 month checkup, I am going to make the appointment with her. Jaidyn and I still need to get our flu shots. I think we will go to the walgreens by our house this weekend and get them. Jaidyn is going to be freaking out, but she really needs to have one. Originally,we were going to take the kids trick or treating down here in Vegas. Even though there isn't many places to take them since we don't know many people. Well now Eric has decided he wants us to go to Alamo. Of course that makes me happy. I love taking the kids to Alamo to go trick or treating. Jaidyn is going to be so excited because we will be in Alamo 2 weekends in a row. We are going up this next week for a few days and then we will go up the week after just for the night.

It is way too cold outside

I can't believe that it went from being really hot to being really cold all of a sudden. It is supposed to get up into the 80's again in a few days, but I can't believe how cold it has been all weekend. I do like it when it is cold out, but it was so windy this weekend that it made it feel even more cold out. Friday my cousin Robin asked me if I wanted to take Jaidyn over to her house to play with Alivia, that way I could nap while Colin was napping since I was so exhausted from the night before. So I dropped Jaidyn off around 10:30 thinking Colin would be ready for a long nap as soon as we got home. Well he slept for about 30 minutes and that was it. Jaidyn was gone for about 4.5 hours and Colin barely slept the entire time. I should have known that he wouldn't since I was really hoping he would. On any normal day, he would take a long afternoon nap, but not that day. By the time Jaidyn got home, she was so tired from playing, that she fell asleep about 10 minutes after she got home. On Friday after Eric got home from work, I told him that Jaidyn and I were going to go to the new dollar store that they opened right here by our house because I hadn't been there yet. He said we should all go and we could just walk because it is pretty much right across the street. At the time I thought that was a good idea, until we started walking. It was really cold and windy. Of course the kids didn't mind because they were just excited to be going for a walk. I didn't really find much there. I was mostly looking for Halloween decorations, but they didn't have much so they must have sold most of them already. However they did have alot of cute Christmas decorations, so I will have to go back closer to Christmas time. On Saturday I went in at 7 and filed. I spent about 6 hours filing and came home. I was going to file today too, but there wasn't really much for me to file, so it would have been pointless. Today Jamie, the kids and I went to the fashion show mall. I mostly needed to buy warm clothes for the kids and they have a big Children's Place in that mall. I found Colin 4 new long sleeved shirts and a thick zip up hoodie and I only found Jaidyn 3 new shirts. I still needed to get them some sweatpants to wear around the house, so after we went there I dropped Colin off at home because he was really tired and Jamie, Jaidyn and I headed over to JCPenney's. I found some really good deals, so I was able to get everything I needed there. I also saw that they had some really cute christmas decorations. Jaidyn wanted them and I did too, but I held strong and didn't buy any. I love Christmas and if it were up to me, I would buy every Christmas decoration I ever saw, but I knew Eric would be mad at me if I came home with a bunch of Christmas decorations. Jamie went home after that and I have just been cleaning up around the house. Now I have some chicken enchilada's in the oven for dinner. I can't wait to eat them!!!

Panic at the Disco

are playing tonight at The Hard Rock. I don't even know any of their songs, I don't really even know who they are. Jamie bought tickets to go and asked me to go with her. I figured why not, it will get me out of the house. They are playing outside in the parking lot too, so that should be kind of cool. Jamie is coming over after work and then we will leave for the concert after Eric gets home. Last night I came downstairs from taking a shower and Jaidyn had drew all over the couch with a pen. Our couch is only about 4 months old. There is no way pen is coming off of the cushions. We can't even turn the cushion over because it is a sectional couch and she drew on one of the long cushions that won't fit if we turn it over. I was more mad at Eric than I was at Jaidyn. He is the one who was supposed to be watching her but instead, he was on the computer. I mean of course I get on the computer all the time, but I always make sure I can see Jaidyn to know what she is doing. She is only 2, you really can't trust her.lol So anyways I am pretty sad about that. This weekend is going to be a long weekend. I am going to go in and work on Saturday and Sunday. I am going to try and get in 7 hours each day. Filing isn't hard or anything, but after so long it starts to hurt your back from leaning over so much.

One year ago today...

is when Eric and I got married. I can't believe a whole year has gone by. I remember it like it was yesterday. We had a wonderful day on Saturday celebrating our anniversary. Eric really liked his driving experience. He said it was the scariest thing he has ever done. He was riding in one of the indy cars which are a little more scary than the cars they use for NASCAR. They went between 170 and 180. He said he felt like he was going to come right out of the car as they went around the turns. Here is a picture of him sitting on the car he got to ride in.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of him in his helmet and everything, but they were rushing him after they got his helmet on, so I didn't have a chance to get one. After we got done there, we went to town square mall and shopped a bit, then we headed over to the outdoor outlet mall. We shopped around there for a bit and of course we ended up buying stuff for the kids. Mostly new pajamas and some other small things. We didn't have much to do after that, but the restaurant we were going to eat at for dinner wasn't open yet, so we decided to go to Sam's Club and get a few things and also stop at the book store. I found a book called "Panic to Power" it is supposed to help you overcome your anxiety. I am really hoping it will help me. We also got a few new books for Jaidyn. After that we went and ate at Osaka. It was really fun because they make the food right in front of you. Of course as I was half way through dinner, my stomach started to hurt really bad, so I couldn't eat anymore dinner. After we were done there, we headed straight home because not only did I have a bad stomach ache, but I also had a headache. We got home a little before Jaidyn did. Jamie and Sam had taken Jaidyn and Hayden to a birthday party and then to the Playhouse Disney Live. When Jaidyn got home, she was so excited. She had such a good time and Sam had bought her tons of new stuff there. Saturday was kind of like Christmas for Jaidyn with all the new things she got from Sam and from Eric and I.lol Here is a picture of Jaidyn and Hayden at Playhouse Disney Live.

Yesterday I drove my mom to the glendale turnoff to meet my grandma, so she could go home. After I came home, I was pretty lazy the rest of the day. We just hung out here at home and didn't go anywhere. I am sad that my mom is gone. I miss having someone to talk to in the day. This morning I gave Eric the movie Iron Man for our anniversary. I wasn't going to buy him anything else since I got him the driving experience, but I had ordered Iron Man for him for Christmas and he kept saying how he wanted it, so I decided to give it to him early. He saw it in the theaters and said it was one of the best movies he had ever seen. It doesn't look all that interesting to me, but we will probably end up watching it tonight. He felt bad because he hadn't gotten anything to give to me, but I didn't expect anything because he already got me my new Betsey purse that I got about a month ago.

I can't wait...

for my mom to get here. I love it when my mom comes to stay with us. Not only because she helps me out so much, but also because it is nice to have the company. We are leaving around noon to go meet her and my grandma at the glendale turn off. My grandma said she would meet me half way so that I didn't have to drive all the way to Alamo to pick up my mom. Jaidyn is going to be so excited to have grandma come stay with us. I was laughing so hard yesterday because Jaidyn always calls her fingernails, ponytails.lol Yesterday I was clipping Colin's fingernails and Jaidyn said" Colin doesn't want his ponytails clipped".lol Also when I go to do her hair, she always tells me that she doesn't want her hair dyed when really she means she just doesn't want me to fix her hair. She gets a little confused sometimes. It's cute though. I made Jamie a strawberry shortcake for her birthday. Well when I made it, it looked so good and I really wanted some. So I had Eric go to the store and get the stuff for one and I made it the other night. It is soooo good!! It is seriously almost gone and I just made it a couple of nights ago.
