I am such a slacker!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted on here.I guess I didn't realize how long it had been. I don't get on the internet near as much as I used to because we don't have the internet at our house. When we first moved in I told Eric I didn't want to get the internet because if I have it, I will spend too much time on it. I am now starting to rethink that.lol So much has happened since I last posted. We moved into our new house, went on a couple of trips to disneyland and got a new puppy. We love living in Alamo. The kids couldn't be happier. They love being around all the family that lives there. Jaidyn absolutely loves preschool too. The kids and I also started going to church when we moved up to Alamo and we couldn't be happier. For the longest time I felt like there was something missing in my life and I couldn't figure out what it was because I already had 2 beautiful kids and a wonderful husband. Once I started going to church, I realized that is what had been missing in my life. I have never been happier then I am now. I start teaching my first class this Sunday. I am teaching the 7-8 years old. I am also doing activity days once every two weeks with the 8 year old girls. I am really looking forward to it. We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. I loved spending our first Christmas in our new house. The kids and I came to Vegas tonight so that we could have a b-day party for Colin with Eric's family while his parents were still in town. I can't believe my little baby is turning 2 on Monday. The time has gone by way too fast. We are having a small party with my side of the family on Saturday. Well that's all I have to say for now. I will try and post more often!

1st day of preschool.

The kids and I headed to alamo first thing last Wednesday morning for Jaidyn to start her 1st day of preschool. She goes every monday and wednesday from 12 to 1:30. We stayed in Alamo for a whole week so Jaidyn could go to school and I could go to Ashlee's bridal shower. I loved being there and I didn't want to come home. The only reason I was excited to come home is because I wanted to see Eric. Jaidyn loves school so much and gets excited on the days that she gets to go. Here are a couple of pics of her from her first day. She wouldn't smile at all and was being a big brat. These are the best I could do since she wasn't wanting me to take any pics.

Here is a picture of her from her 2nd day of preschool. At least I got her to smile in this one.

The kids had such a good time the whole time we were in Alamo. It felt so nice out that they got to go outside everyday and play. It just made me think how much they will love it when we get moved up there and they can play outside everyday. We have a pool that takes up most of our backyard here in Vegas, so it will be really nice to have a big backyard once we get moved to Alamo. We got the rest of our papers signed for the house. We should be getting the keys anyday now. I can't wait to start getting it fixed up. Jeremy measured for our fence and he is buying the material when he goes to st.george this weekend. The kids and I have to head back to Alamo on Sunday afternoon so Jaidyn can go to school on Monday. We will be there for a week and a half. Ashlee's wedding is next weekend, so we will stay for that and stay through the next week until after Jaidyn gets out of school that wednesday. Thankfully Eric is coming to Alamo next weekend, so we won't have to go a whole week and a half without seeing him. Tomorrow Jamie and I are going to get our nails done for the wedding. I know it is a whole week before the wedding, but since I will be leaving to Alamo, that is the only time I can get it done. I also think I am going to get a pedicure while I am there too. I can't wait!

Nothing too exciting

has been going on with me this weekend. I have gotten alot accomplished though. Since they are having such big sales this weekend I went to toys r us to get the kids some toys for christmas. I was very happy with what I found. I couldn't believe how much I got for such a little price while I was there. I have also been taking care of Eric because he has a hurt foot. He dropped a car trailer on his foot at work this last week and he can't walk very well. I tried to get him to go to the doctor because his foot is bruised really bad, but he is very stubborn and won't go. It is Alex's birthday tomorrow. That is Eric's brother. So we are having him and Eric's sister and her husband over for dinner and cake. I ordered Alex a baseball cake. He is a big baseball fan, so he should like it. Jaidyn starts preschool this Wednesday and I can't believe it. I have to admit that I am a little sad because she seems to be growing up so fast. I am also excited for her to go. She is very excited and has been looking forward to it for a long time now. I know she is going to love it. We will be in Alamo for a whole week. Ashlee's bridal shower is next Saturday so we will stay for that and then Jaidyn will go to school again on Mon and Wed, so we will leave after she gets out on Wednesday. That weekend will be the only weekend I will be home in September. We will go back up for Jaidyn's school the next Monday and we will stay all week because Ashlee's wedding is that Saturday. It is going to be a stressful and busy month this month. With everything going on. I also have a doctors appointment on the 21st, so I will have to drive the kids all the way to Alamo so Jaidyn can go to school and then back to vegas for my appointment and then back to Alamo when I am all done. I have a funny story that I am still laughing about. A few days ago Jaidyn was telling Colin to say "mama" so he said mama. Then she told him to say "dada" so he said dada. Then she says to him "Can you say DVD Player" Colin shook his head no. It was the funniest thing I had ever heard. I don't know what made her think to have him say dvd player. Anyways I just thought it was funny and cute.

Yesterday we were able to bring home this sweet little thing

Her name is Wanda. We adopted her from Lied's Animal Shelter. I have been wanting another dog for a while, but Eric said we couldn't get another one until we moved to Alamo. Well I was looking around on the website and saw that she was at Lied's Animal Shelter. I thought she was the cutest thing and I knew that she would be perfect for this family. I told Eric that I was going to get her before she was gone. Believe it or not, he let me do it. I think he knew that he couldn't really stop me because this is something I really wanted to do. Jaidyn was so excited because she has also been wanting another dog for a while now. So the kids and I headed down to Lied's Animal Shelter on Thursday. I told them exactly what dog I was looking for. They told me she would have to stay overnight so she could get spayed and microchipped. We were able to pick her up yesterday afternoon. Poor thing was sore from getting spayed and a little scared because she didn't really know what was going on. Thankfully this morning she woke up and is happy as can be. She has been following me everywhere and has to be sitting at my side. It's sad to think that she probably hasn't had any attention from anyone for a long time. Plus she was a stray, so the shelter didn't know anything about her from before. Hopefully she hasn't had too rough of a life. She will be much better living with us now. She will have plenty of love and she can play with our other dog Sammy. Once we get moved to Alamo, they will have a big backyard to run around in. Not much else has been going on. We are still waiting to hear back about the appraisal on the house. I am really hoping we hear something soon. I have to post this picture of Colin helping me vacuum because I think it is so cute. He gets so excited everytime I vacuum. Both the kids love to watch and help me.
Also I have to post this picture of Jaidyn with curlers in her hair. I bought them because her hair is already curly and I thought these would make her have some cute ringlets. She was so excited to have them in her hair. I know she looks like an old grandma in them.lol

JCPenney's is awesome!

I saw that JCPenney's was going to be having a big sale starting today. Alot of the stuff was buy one, get the second for 88 cents. I thought I might as well go check it out. I ended up getting $400 worth of stuff for just $200. I stocked up on winter clothes for both the kids. I also got a bunch of new bath towels and rugs for our bathrooms in the new house. Jaidyn had asked me if she could get a new dress to wear on her first day of preschool. so I let her pick out her own dress at JCPenneys and she was very excited about it. She had her testing yesterday at the preschool in Alamo. She did very well and wasn't shy at all. She will be starting preschool on the 9th of September. She will go every Monday and Wednesday from 12 to 1:30. She is so excited and I can't wait for her to start school. We went to Alamo on Saturday and stayed until yesterday. We came home as soon as Jaidyn was done with her testing. I was really sad to come home. The only reason I even wanted to come home at all was to see Eric because I hadn't seen him since Saturday. We will probably be staying at my mom's house most of September because Jaidyn will start school and Ashlee will be having her bridal shower and wedding. They did the appraisal on the house and we are hoping to hear back in the next couple of days. Jaidyn keeps asking me when we are going to move to Alamo. I think she is just as anxious to move up there as I am.

Friday

Thank goodness today is Friday. This week has gone by so slow and I have been so bored. Thankfully today we are going to get out of the house for a little bit. Jamie invited us to lunch. We are going to go over to TMA to visit everyone because we haven't been there in a long time. Then the kids, Jamie and I are going to the galleria mall to have lunch. I am looking forward to it. Tomorrow Sam invited everyone over to swim. Andrea has to come down for an appointment, so she is bringing the boys so they can swim. It should be fun. Colin and I won't be swimming. He hates the water and screams everytime I try to put him in it, so I am not even going to try tomorrow. We will just sit in the shade and watch everyone else swim. After Sam's house we are leaving for Alamo. Eric is going to San Diego this weekend with his brother so I figured the kids and I would go to Alamo while he was gone because I don't like being home alone. We were going to come home on Sunday evening, but I got a call from the elementary school and they want to test Jaidyn for preschool on Tuesday, so we are going to stay until Tuesday afternoon. They weren't sure if they were going to have a preschool for 3 year olds in Alamo this year because they didn't know if they would have enough kids. Well thankfully they do have enough. I was going to feel really bad if Jaidyn didn't get to go to preschool this year. I had already signed her up for preschool here in Vegas, but since we will be moving to Alamo in a little over a month, I am just going to have her start preschool in Alamo with everyone and we will just drive back and forth until we get moved up there. They are doing the appraisal on the house in Alamo today. I can't wait to find out how much it appraises for. I really hope it appraises for as much as we need it to. Wendy said she really didn't think it was going to be a problem, so I am trying not to stress about that. We got Colin a new toddler bed. I am not going to move him into it until we move to Alamo. I just don't see any point in getting it all set up for him to sleep in here for a month and then have to move it up to Alamo. Andrea found it for me. She found it at one of those stores that sells used things. It is a blue race car bed and it is so cute. Even though it is used, it is still in great shape and we got it for super cheap. His room is the cars theme, so it will go pefectly. Other than that, we haven't been up to much. Mostly just stuff with the house. Escrow will close in September and then I will start cleaning up the house and we will get the appliance and carpet put in before we move in. We won't be moving in until October. We have too much going on and I just don't think we will be able to move before then. I have Ashlee's wedding in September and then Eric has inventory at work that is going to keep him very busy for a couple of weeks. Then we are going to Disneyland for a few days with Eric's parents. It will be alot of fun. I am hoping we can move as soon as we get back from Disneyland. We will see if it works out though.

Bridesmaid dresses, the mall and the park.

That's alot for me to do all in one weekend. Since it has been so hot out, the kids and I barely leave the house anymore except to go to Alamo. On Saturday we woke up and went to the UPS store as soon as they opened because we had to get some papers notarized for the house we are buying. Soon after that, I headed to David's Bridal to meet Jamie and Ashlee so we could try on bridesmaids dresses. It was really fun to try them on. They were all so cute. Ashlee also tried on her dress for us and some shoes. She looked so pretty and her dress is gorgeous. After that I came home and we hung out for a while. Eric had an appointment at the eye doctor at The Meadows Mall, so the kids and I went with him. He was there for almost two hours. The kids and I walked around and Jaidyn rode those little cars at the mall. I tried to get Colin to ride them, but he just cried. They wanted some candy out of the quarter machines. The machine downstairs only had sour candy. I knew the ones upstairs by the elevator had the candy they like. So we headed to the elevator. As soon as Colin even saw that we were going on it, he started screaming so loud. He cried really hard the entire time we were in the elevator. I got them their candy and we got back on the elevator and once again he started bawling before we even got on. I guess he hates elevators as much as I do. We had a good time just hanging out. The kids ate their candy and I got an icee for all of us to share. I had a pretty good time even though we just walked around and didn't really even go into any stores. After Eric was done with his appointment, I left Colin with him and I took Jaidyn into the pet store. She loved the puppies in there and so did I. Once we left I told Eric that there was a black cocker spaniel puppy in there that told me he wanted to come home with us. Eric just laughed and told me that once we move into our house in Alamo, we can get a new puppy since we will have a big back yard with a fence. So I agreed to that. Eric's glasses were going to be ready in an hour, so we decided that we would go get something for dinner and wait for his glasses instead of having to go all the way home and back to the mall later to get them. Macayo's is down the street so we went there for dinner. We haven't been out to dinner as a family since we went to disneyland in May. We don't usually go out to dinner because everytime we do, it is a disaster. Colin just screams and cries the entire time. He didn't do so bad yesterday. We got him his own soda, so that kept him busy for a while. After we were done eating, we went back to the mall and the kids and I waited in the truck while Eric ran in to get his glasses. Jaidyn told me she had to pee. I told her to wait just a minute and as soon as Eric got back to the truck to sit with Colin, I would take her in to pee. Not even a minute later she told me she peed her pants. I felt so bad. I know it wasn't fair of me to ask her to hold it. Poor thing was upset that she had peed her pants. I kept telling her it was ok, but she cried a little bit. We headed home and watched tv the rest of the night. First thing when we woke up this morning, we ate breakfast and headed to the park for the kids to play. It was nice outside and they both had alot of fun. Jaidyn made a friend and played with him most of the time. Colin ran around and fell down alot and came home with scraps all over his knees. After that we headed to wal mart and got our groceries for the week. I have spent the whole rest of the afternoon cleaning house and I am so glad I am finally done! Sorry this blog is so long, but I have to put everything down so I can come back and read it later on.

An update on the house.

It had been a week since we had put our offer in and we were starting to get nervous because we hadn't heard anything back. Well finally last night at 7:00 Wendy called me and told me that they accepted our offer. So we had to sign all the papers and Eric had to drive down to work last night to get them faxed back to her. She needed them back asap so she could get it all done. We got that part over with, now we just have to wait for the appraisal. I think either way we won't have a problem getting the house. If it doesn't appraise for as much as we need it to, we will just take however much they can give us for a loan for how much it does appraise for. On the papers we originally signed it said escrow would close on or before september 3. Well on the new papers they sent us it said it would close on September 25 or sooner. So if we get the house, we probably won't move all of our stuff until October. We can't move on the weekend of the 25th because it is Ashlee's wedding and I am a bridesmaid, so I will be pretty busy with that. Then Eric has inventory two weeks later, so he will be working ALOT. Then we are leaving for Disneyland for a few days. So we will probably have to wait and move after we get back from Disneyland. Oh well, in the meantime we can be getting the house all cleaned up and getting the new carpet and appliances put in. If they do have a preschool for 3 years(they aren't sure if there are enough kids to have one) then the kids and I might have to stay in Alamo for a while at my moms so Jaidyn can start preschool when everyone else does in September. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out and we end up getting this house. Today is Eric's birthday. I got him a NASCAR cake from Albertson's since he loves NASCAR and he loves the cakes from Albertson's.lol It is going to be a surprise for him. I also helped both of the kids make him a birthday card which I am sure he will love. I was going to have his family over, but he doesn't like to make a big deal about his birthday, so I didn't invite anyone over. On another note, I really think my anxiety medicine has been helping me. Of course I still get anxious over certain things, but for the most part it really seems to be helping.

It looks like we might be moving soon.

As long as everything goes as planned. Yesterday the credit union said that we can get pre-approved for the house as long as it appraises for at least $50,000. It is only selling for $29,900. A few weeks ago it was selling for $80,000. It was repossessed and the bank just wants to get rid of it, so they lowered it to $39,900 and that is what it was selling for when Eric and I were first looking at it. Well to our surprise, it went down another $10,000 on Saturday. So Wendy got all of our papers emailed over last night and we signed them and faxed them back to get our offer in right away. Wendy is doing such a great job. We didn't even fax them to her until 9 last night and she said she would get it all sent over to the other agent last night. We will know by next Monday whether or not they accept the offer. Once they accept the offer, Robin at the credit union will order the appraisal and as long as it appraises for $50,000, then we are all set to go. The paperwork said escrow would close on or before September 3. Which means if we get this house we can move in next month. I am really nervous about all of it. I am just really hoping that it appraises for $50,000 because that would be the only thing holding us back from getting this house. I have already been shopping around for new appliances. The house doesn't have any appliances, so we will have to buy all new. Eric also thinks we need a bigger tv. So I found one at best buy for super cheap. It is a 47". I don't know why we need a tv that big, but I guess if Eric wants it then there is no stopping him.lol It looks like we might be heading to Alamo once again. Jamie, the kids and I most likely have to go up on Saturday so that Jamie and I can get fitted for our bridesmaids dresses. We are in Ashlee's wedding and she is getting married at the end of Septmeber. I am also very nervous for that. I have never been in a wedding before, so it is making me nervous.

Alamo again

Eric told me today that he wanted to see if we could go to Alamo this weekend and look at the house we want to buy. I have already seen the inside, but Eric has only seen pictures. I called Wendy to see if she would be able to show it to us tomorrow and she said yes. I am really excited because I wanted Eric to be able to see it. We decided that we are going to drive up tonight after Eric gets home from work. That way we don't have to drive up and back in one day. Jaidyn is so excited. We were just in Alamo last week and stayed for a couple of days. Then we brought my mom back with us and she stayed here for almost a week. The kids were both sad that she left, but now they will be happy to see her again. We faxed over our loan application on Monday morning. We hadn't heard from Robin at the credit union all week. Eric finally called today and she is busy with end of the month stuff, but once she is done with that, she will work on our pre-approval. Hopefully it won't take long. I really want to be able to get our offer in before someone else comes along and puts an offer in. I can't help but already plan different things I would do with the house. Even though I don't know for sure that we are going to get it. I mean if we have any say in it, then of course we are getting it, but we have to see first if we can get the loan and then they have to accept our offer. I have been taking my new anxiety medicine since Tuesday. I have been feeling pretty nauseous. My doctor warned me that I probably wouldn't feel very well for the first week or so. The only good thing about it is that I haven't been eating near as much.lol One of the side effects can be weight loss. I can only hope that will be one side effect for me.lol The funniest story from last night. Eric usually always gives the kids their baths. Mostly because we give them a bath at the same time and Jaidyn always insists that Eric has to do it. So he just does both of them at the same time. So anyways last night I thought I would be nice and take Colin for his bath. That way Eric would only have to give Jaidyn a bath. I asked Colin if he wanted a bath and he got really excited. We went upstairs and as soon as I walked in the bathroom he started crying and saying dada. Next thing I know he opens the door and goes running out of the bathroom still yelling dada. He pointed downstairs to Eric and I told Eric that colin wanted him to give him a bath. Eric came up and took Colin into the bathroom and he was happy as can be after that. I thought it was pretty funny. It did make me a little sad that the kids don't ever want me to give them baths though. Only their dad.

Dr. Appointment

I had my annual checkup today. I hate going, but this time I was looking forward to going only so that I could ask my doctor about putting me on some medication for my anxiety. I have had anxiety pretty bad since I had Colin, but have always put off going to the doctor because I was too afraid. I wasn't even sure if my OB/GYN could prescribe me something for anxiety, but I thought I would ask anyways and thankfully he did. I will start taking it tomorrow and I really hope it will help me. Last week we went to Alamo. While we were there my mom told me about a house that is for sale for $39,900. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a huge backyard. It looks kind of crappy from the outside, but the inside has all been redone. So anyways I asked Eric if we could buy it and he said for that price, we can't pass it up. We got our loan application faxed over to the credit union this morning. Now we are just waiting to hear back on whether or not we got pre-approved. If we do get pre-approved, then we will put down an offer on the house. I REALLY hope we can get it. I want to move to Alamo so bad. This house is so cheap and besides the outside, it doesn't need much work. The only thing we will have to do on the inside is put new carpet in. The carpet isn't even that bad on the inside, but it is just a really ugly color, so I would want to put new carpet in. We should know in the next week or two if we get the house. If we do, Eric will drive back and forth to work. He will stay down here in Vegas a couple of nights a week, that way he doesn't have to drive back and forth everyday.

Pics from our trip.

I was finally able to put some pictures of our trip on here.

The beach,shopping and disneyland.

We left for our trip to California last Friday. Jamie and Eric both ended up getting off work even earlier than we had planned, so we were able to leave a little before 4:00. I was expecting the traffic to be bad since it was a Friday, but it wasn't at all. We stopped to eat dinner in baker and still made it to our hotel by a little after 8:00. We had gotten a hotel room in Anaheim close to disneyland, even though we hadn't planned on going to disneyland. I got us a room there mostly because I know that area of California very well, plus you can get rooms for super cheap through priceline. On Saturday we woke up and headed to Laguna Beach. We hung out at the beach for a while and Jaidyn loved it. At first she didn't want to go in the water because she was scared. I finally convinced her to go out there and I held her hand the whole time and she loved it. Then all she wanted to do was play in the water. She also took her bucket and shovel and played in the sand. It was so nice at the beach and I enjoyed just sitting there listening to the ocean. As it got closer to lunch time, we started to get hungry. We figured maybe it was time to leave Laguna Beach and head to Fashion Island to do some shopping and get lunch. Fashion Island isn't very far from Laguna Beach, only about 20 minutes so it didn't take us long to get there. We got some lunch at Red Robin and then I decided I wanted to let Jaidyn build herself a bear at the build a bear there. She has build a bears, but has never been there to build one herself. So she picked out one for her and I picked out one to make for Colin. They both got the cutest bears from build a bear. Jaidyn named hers all by herself and decided to name it rainbow carebear because it has rainbows all over it. lolAfter that we shopped around. Jamie wanted a new purse so we went into a couple of different stores and she finally found one she liked at the juicy store. Once she found her purse, we decided to head back to the hotel. We were hoping to get in a nap once we got back to the hotel, but jaidyn would not go to sleep. She was so tired, but so hyper all at the same time. I think she was just so excited to be there. So we decided we would take her to the pool to swim for a while. A while after we did that, we went to Target to get a few things and then went and ate dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. I had called Eric on Saturday and he suggested that we take Jaidyn to Disneyland on Sunday. We had planned on waking up and heading home, but I figured we might as well take her to disneyland. Jaidyn and I have season passes, so we get in for free and we were just down the street from disneyland. I asked Jamie if she would mind going and she said no. We woke up Sunday and headed to disneyland. We were there 20 minutes before the park opened and we got awesome parking. I was thinking that it was going to be so crowded since it was not only a sunday, but it is also the summer time. Boy was I wrong. It was the least crowded I have ever seen it. We were able to just walk right on to most of the rides without even waiting in line and if we did have to wait in line, it wasn't even for 5 minutes. Jaidyn had such a good time. She got to go on all of her favorite rides (some of them twice) and she got her picture taken with a few of her favorite characters. We left disneyland by 1:00 and was home by 5:30. I am so glad I ended up taking Jaidyn with us on our girls trip. She had such a fun time and she was so good the whole time. It won't let me add pictures to my blog right now, but I will add some later.

Cali...here we come!

The day has finally come that we are leaving for California. All week I have been waiting for today. It was originally just going to be Jamie and I going and I was going to leave the kids with Eric so that I could have a relaxing weekend. Well then I started to feel bad about not taking Jaidyn. She loves going to California and especially loves going to the beach. Plus she LOVES staying in hotels. Colin hates everything about the beach. He hates sand and water, so I wasn't feeling bad about not taking him. So I decided that I was going to bring Jaidyn along. She is so excited to go and keeps asking when we get to leave. It's too bad we have to wait until 4:00 today to leave. I feel bad because she keeps talking about going to disneyland, even though I keep telling her we aren't going to. I think it's because everytime we go to California, we go to disneyland. I thought about taking her to disneyland while we were there, but with the season pass we have we have some blockout dates when we can't go and Saturday is one of them. Oh well, she will get to do plenty of other fun things. Plus we already have a fun trip planned to take the kids to disneyland in October, so she only has to wait a few more months. With the way time is flying by, October will be here in no time. Hopefully we can sleep in a little on Sunday, grab some breakfast and head home. I want to be home by at least 2:00. That way I can unpack and get all my laundry done. Then a few days later, I have to pack again for the kids and I to leave for Alamo. We are only staying one night. We are going up to pick up my mom and bring her back to Vegas. She is coming to stay at my house for almost a week and i am so excited. I love having my mom here. I seriously wish she could live with us.lol It will be nice to have someone to visit with in the day and we plan on going shopping and doing some other fun things. The kids will be excited because they love having their grandma around.

Colin's 18 month checkup

I had to take Colin to his 18 month checkup today. He did really good. He only cried for a minute when they gave him his shot and after I picked him up, he was fine. He weighs 26 lbs now. I couldn't even believe it. At his last appointment 3 months ago, he only weighed 22 lbs. I didn't think he had really gained any weight, but obviously I was wrong. The doctor said he looks really good, so I am happy about that. I won't have to take him back until he turns 2. On Saturday we went to Eric's sisters house to have lunch. They also bought a little pool for the kids to swim in. Colin hates swimming, so he wouldn't swim, but Jaidyn did and she had fun. This little pool is the perfect size pool for her because she gets too scared to go all the way into a big swimming pool. She usually just sits on the top step. We haven't even swam in our pool this summer because colin hates swimming and Jaidyn won't even get all the way in. I wish we didn't have a big swimming pool in our backyard so I could buy one of these little ones and we could still have a backyard for the kids to play in. Jamie and I decided last night that we are making a girls trip to Cali this weekend. We just wanted to get away and go to the beach. Eric told me to go have fun without the kids because next month, he is going to do the same thing. Him and his brother are going to san diego for a weekend to go to a couple of cardinals baseball games. So I figured I might as well go while I have the chance. I am a little nervous to leave the kids for a couple of days, but I am sure they will be fine. We don't know for sure what we are going to do, but I do know we will be going to the beach. We got a room in Anaheim for super cheap off of priceline, so I am excited about that. It should be a fun time. Here are a few pictures of the kids from Saturday.

4th of July

Jamie, the kids and I headed to Alamo on Thursday afternoon to spend the whole weekend there. It took us almost 3 hours to get to Alamo from the time we left my house. Once we were on the road, Jamie realized she forgot her shirts at home. She lives clear on the other side of town from me, so I wasn't very happy about the fact that I had to drive all the way over there so we could get them. The traffic was so horrible and we ended up getting on the strip. The I-15 was way backed up so I figured I would get on the strip and take it as far as Charleston and get back on the I-15. I am really glad we decided to do that because I think it would have taken us much longer if we would have stayed on the I-15. I am just glad Colin ended up falling asleep or else he would have gotten pretty onery being in the car for that long. On Thursday night, the kids, Jamie and I went down to Andrea's to visit. It was fun. We all sat outside and visited and the kids played basketball. On Friday we didn't do a whole lot. Jamie, Jaidyn, Ashlee and I went to lunch at Windmill Ridge. It was nice to go out to lunch with Ashlee since we don't get to do it often. Eric called me around 11 on Friday and said he was already off work. They got off early because it was so slow, so he was heading to Alamo early. I was really glad that he was able to come up early. We woke up super early on Saturday and ate some yummy breakfast that my mom cooked for all of us. Then we got ready to go to the parade. Here is a picture of the kids before we left for the parade. Jaidyn was really excited.

The kids enjoyed the parade but by the time it was over, Colin was exhausted. We took him back to my mom's for a nap and Jamie and I took Jaidyn to the park to play games. She had a really good time. It was so hot though, that we decided to go back to my mom's. Colin was awake when we got home, so a while later I decided to take both the kids to the park. Eric didn't go to the park at all because it was too hot out and he didn't want to be out in the heat. I let Jaidyn play a few more games and then we ended up leaving the park because it was too hot out. Andrea, Jeremy, Tyson and Ryan came to my mom's house around 2 and we had a lunch/dinner. It was really good food and fun to be with everyone. Thankfully soon after everyone left, we were able to get Jaidyn and Colin to both take a nap. I had also laid down to take a nap when Jennifer and Lisa showed up to my mom's house. We hadn't seen Lisa in years and she decided to come to Alamo to visit everyone. So we ended up visiting with them for a while. Soon after they left, we went down to the baseball field to watch Jeremy in the homerun thing they were having. Soon after that we headed to the park for the fireworks. Eric had originally said he wasn't going to watch the fireworks because the NASCAR race was on and he didn't want to miss it. So I left colin there with him. I didn't know how Colin would do for the fireworks since they didn't start until 9 and last year they scared him. Well we were sitting on the grass visiting and Eric called and said he was there and wanted to know where we were sitting. I told him I would come find him and when I did, he had Colin with him. I am glad he ended up bringing Colin because Colin loved the fireworks. When they first started, he kept laughing and clapping. It was so cute. All day Jaidyn couldn't wait for the fireworks and she was so excited once she finally got to see them. We were all so tired after last night that even Colin slept in until 7:30 this morning. That is the latest he has ever slept before. We got home from Alamo around 11 today and I was sad to come home. I had such a good time this weekend. I just love being in alamo.

A weekend without the kids.

This weekend was Eric and I's weekend to spend all by ourselves without our kids. They left for grandma's house on Friday afternoon and we picked them up this morning. Eric and I got a room at the Aliante hotel for Friday and Saturday night. It is such a nice hotel and it isn't crowded at all. There was a huge tv in our room and a really comfy bed. It was the perfect place for Eric and I to spend our weekend together. As soon as Eric got home on Friday, we headed to the hotel. We checked in and then decided to get some dinner at TGI Fridays. They have one in the hotel, so we didn't even have to leave. Dinner was really good, but I ate a little too much and felt sick to my stomach afterwards. We then decided to do some gambling. Well Eric doesn't really gamble, he just sits there and watches me. I love to play the wheel of fortune game. I must have been really lucky because I got to spin 10 times in under 20 minutes. I couldn't even belive how well I was doing. I only put in $20 and ended up cashing out with $50. I could have gotten more, but I gambled some of it away. After that we went to the room and was lazy the rest of the night. I think we were asleep by 9:00. I was hoping to sleep in on Saturday, but I woke up at about 6:45. We got dressed and went and ate at The Original Pancake House, which is also located inside the hotel. After that we ran to Wal Mart because it is just down the street and we wanted to buy a pack of bottled water to keep in our room. We went back to the hotel and decided to go swimming. We swam for a little bit and I laid out for a while and then decided we needed to go back to the room and rest. We watched tv for a while and then grabbed some lunch inside the hotel. We heard about a new toys r us on that side of town and decided to check it out. We were there forever checking out stuff for the kids. After we got back to the room I was so exhausted that I needed a nap. We both fell asleep and slept for about 2 hours. It was so nice to just relax all weekend and take a nap whenever we felt like it. We woke up and ate at Red Robin for dinner. Once we got back to the room, we decided we didn't want to go anywhere else. We were just going to put on our pj's and rent a movie. We rented some movied called The last turn on the left or The last house on the left.lol I can't remember what it was called. Anyways it was a scary movie and I was really stressed out the entire time I was watching it. Probably not the best choice of movie to watch. We woke up first thing this morning and met my mom and grandma at the glendale turnoff to pick up the kids. I was so happy to see them. Even though it was nice to have a weekend to ourselves, I missed my kids so much and thought about them almost the whole time. The kids had a really fun time at grandma's house, but I think they were really glad to see Eric and I. Poor Jaidyn touched a cactus at grandma's house and it got stuck in her hand and tummy. My mom said she was freaking out and wouldn't let her or my grandma get it out. So they called Andrea and thankfully when Andrea got there, Jaidyn let her get it out. Now we only have a few more days until we head to grandma's house again. Jamie, the kids and i are driving up Thursday after Jamie gets off work and Eric is driving up Friday after he gets off work so we can spend the 4th of July in Alamo. I am really looking forward to it. I love being in Alamo for the 4th of July. Mostly for the parade and the fireworks.

Father's Day and swimsuit shopping

On Saturday my sisters, Jaidyn and I took my dad to dinner at The Outback for Father's Day. Eric decided he wanted to stay home because he isn't a big fan of the outback these days, plus he didn't want to take colin because he is always very whiny when we go out to eat. We had fun at dinner. We don't all get together like that often and it was really nice to see my dad since I hadn't seen him in a while. We woke up Sunday morning and Jaidyn gave Eric his Father's Day present. She picked out a dora card for him and the kids also got him a Kyle Busch diecast car and a shirt that says NASCAR DAD on it. He really liked it. She must have told him Happy Father's Day at least 20 times yesterday. All day long she kept saying it in the sweetest little voice and finally when we went to bed, Eric told her Father's Day was going to be over. I feel very blessed to be married to Eric. He is the greatest husband and father and I couldn't ask for anything more. Everday when he comes home from work, the first thing he does is plays with the kids. Yesterday Eric asked me if I could go to JCPenney's and buy him some new boardshorts. Him and I are staying at the Aliante Hotel next weekend and we plan on spending alot of time by the pool. I went to JCPenney's and found him some really cool boardshorts and they had them on sale for 50% off. However, I couldn't find myself a new swimsuit. I have swimsuits, but not any that I like very much. I went to 4 different stores before I finally found one at Target. Everywhere I looked either had bikinis(which I won't wear) or swimsuits for old people.lol Thankfully I finally found one at Target. I am really looking forward to this weekend. The kids are going to Alamo on Friday and staying until Sunday. Eric and I got a room for Fri and Sat night. I plan on relaxing and hanging by the pool most of the weekend. It will be a fun time for the kids as well because they get to spend all weekend with Grandma Taylor and Grandma Helen. They haven't seen Grandma Helen in months since she has been gone to her sisters, so it will be good for them to spend the weekend with her.

Colin's 1st haircut

I finally decided it was time for Colin to have his first haircut. He had an appointment today at the snips and clips for kids by my house. It's a really cute little place. They have cool cars for the kids to sit in while they get their haircut and they also play a movie for them. They had elmo and since Colin loves elmo, I had them put that one in. Too bad that didn't keep him from screaming the whole time. We even gave him a sucker to have while he was getting his haircut and nothing distracted him. After screaming his loudest the entire time, I thought he would stop as soon as I picked him up. Boy was I wrong, he still sat there screaming the whole time I was trying to pay. Everyone in there was just staring at me. It was pretty embarassing. He looks so cute with his new haircut. He looked cute before, but his hair was a little angry, now it should be easier to fix. Here are a couple of pics of his new do.

Sam had been recovering so well from her first surgery then on Thursday she started to feel really sick. On thursday night she ended up going to the emergency room. It turns out her intestines were twisted. So she had to have another surgery yesterday to fix them. She is doing good now. Hopefully she will get better soon. My mom was supposed to go home today, but now that Sam had to have another surgery, my mom will be staying for a while longer to help her out. My mom is going to come stay at our house tonight and stay until Sam gets out of the hospital. I have no idea when that will be. Hopefully she won't have to be in there for too long. It will be nice to have my mom here for a day or two. Eric is painting the upstairs bathroom right now. I was going to do it and he said he wanted to do it. I am surprised that he wanted to do it. I am ok with that though because that means I don't have to do it. I got the name plaques I ordered for the kids rooms. I can't even belive how cute they are. We put another coat of paint on the walls in Colin's room so we will have to wait a couple of days before hanging anything in there. I can't wait to get his room all decorated.

Two sick kids

Unfortunately both of my kids are sick right now. Jaidyn has been sick since Friday and Colin just started coughing last night. Jaidyn has been taking claritin since Friday night and she seems to be doing better today. Poor Colin has been coughing all day and he has a runny and stuffy nose. The sucky thing is that I can't even give Colin anything while he is sick. Hopefully he will get over it soon or I guess we will be heading to the doctor. I had been talking about painting Colin's room for a while now. It was just plain white and so boring looking. So yesterday I got everything cleaned up. I ended up throwing away a bunch of stuff that I had kept for some reason and we never even used it or needed it. After I got it all cleaned out, Eric ran to home depot to check out the paint. He ended up coming home with 2 gallons of the paint he wanted. I didn't really care what color blue it was, so Eric got the color he wanted. I got it all painted yesterday. I just have to touch up a little bit tonight after Eric gets home. I really like the color of it. I ordered some cute cars decorations to go in his room. Mostly just a plaque with his name and some cars stuff on it. Also a cars mural to hang on the wall. I think it will look really good when it is all done. Jaidyn has been sharing a room with us for a while now because she won't sleep by herself. Well we are finally going to make her have her own room and sleep in her own bed. I am going to get her room painted in the next couple of weeks. I am going to paint it pink and get her some disney princess decorations. Hopefully that will make her want to sleep in her own room. When I told her I would be painting her room, she insisted that she wanted a pirates of the carribbean room. She has never even seen the movie, but she has seen the stuff at Disneyland. When I told her she couldn't have a pirates room, she started crying. I feel bad, but I have to draw the line somewhere. Eric bought two gallons of paint and we only needed one, so I am thinking about using the other gallon to paint the bathrooms because it is the perfect color blue that matches the rugs that I already have in the bathrooms. I might do that this weekend. I got Jaidyn all signed up for preschool. I am really looking forward to her going and I know she is very excited as well. The good thing is that it is only 1 mile from my house. That will be nice not to have to drive very far to take her to school. Sam had her surgery last Wednesday. She was doing so well that they let her out of the hospital on Friday night. They also told her she could eat the next day. Her recovery is going really well. My mom is down here staying with her until the weekend.

Girls day/night

On Friday Jamie and I decided we wanted to have a fun girls day on Saturday. We try to have a girls day every so often where just the girls go shopping and have lunch. Jamie decided she wanted to get a room at Planet Hollywood on Saturday night for her, Sam, Jaidyn and I to stay. On Saturday Jamie came and picked up Jaidyn and I and we headed to Planet Hollywood a couple of hours before check in so that we could do some shopping. Sam met us there about 30 minutes later. I saw tons of cute stuff and wanted to buy so many different things. I did good though and only bought a pair of really cute ed hardy shoes. After shopping we checked into our room. I had Jamie ask for a lower level floor because of my fear for riding elevators. The guy told her that she got a free upgrade to a room with a view of the fountains at the bellagio. The only problem was that it was on the 18th floor. I almost had a heart attack just thinking about it. The first time we rode the elevator up to our room, I was very nervous and scared, but as we rode it more and more, it wasn't so bad. Maybe I am finally getting over my fear of elevators. I hope so anyways. We got to our room and it was so nice. We really did have a perfect view. Shortly after we got to our room, we decided we would go to the pool because that is what Jaidyn was most excited about. Jamie stayed in the room because she didn't feel very good, so Sam,Jaidyn and I headed to the pool. It was so crowded and Jaidyn was the only little kid there. I was feeling bad at first because I didn't know what Jaidyn thought of all of that, but it didn't seem to bother her. She still had fun. Some guy gave her a beach ball and another guy wanted to take a picture of her with his phone.lol We swam for a while and then headed back to our room to change so that we could get some dinner. We decided to go to a cafe that was in the hotel. We sat down and looked at the menu and they didn't even have chicken fingers. What cafe doesn't have chicken fingers? It didn't look like they had anything that Jaidyn would eat because she is very picky and will pretty much only eat chicken fingers and pizza. Thankfully they serve some breakfast items all the time and they had waffles. Jaidyn loves waffles, so I was able to get that for her for dinner. After dinner Sam and I gambled a bit while Jamie stayed in the room with Jaidyn, then Jamie and Sam went and gambled while I gave Jaidyn a bath. Unfortunately I didn't win any money and neither did Jamie. Sam did win $30 or something like that.lol After that we got in our pj's and decided to order some dessert from room service. It was so yummy! Then we painted our toenails and Jaidyn was very excited for that. She loves having her toenails and fingernails painted. We got in bed a little after 9 and Jaidyn fell asleep right away. She was exhausted. We woke up the next morning and ordered breakfast from room service. Then Jamie, Jaidyn and I hit the pool one last time before we had to check out. After checking out, we shopped around for a little while longer and then came home. We had a really good time and I am glad we had our girls day/night. I was glad to come home though because I always miss Colin when I have to be away from him for a night. Don't get me wrong, I missed Eric too, but it is harder for me to be away from Colin for that long. I thought Colin would be excited to see me when I got home, but instead he was giving me the evil eye. I think he was mad at me for leaving him. Colin got to have his own guys day with Eric and Alex, so I didn't feel too bad. Here are a couple of pics of us in the hotel room.

Memorial Day weekend.

We had alot of fun this last weekend. On Saturday we went to Sam's house to swim and have a bbq. Jamie, Jaidyn and I swam for hours. Sam swam with us on and off. She was trying to get some stuff done in the house though. Eric and Colin came over right before we ate. Colin hates swimming and Eric doesn't really like to swim either, so they just came over to eat. We also invited my dad to eat with us. I hadn't seen him since his birthday party, so it was nice to see him. We left Sam's house and Eric, Jamie, the kids and I headed to Alamo. We decided to go up on Saturday night and stay the night and then come home on Sunday evening. We spent most of the day being lazy and eating good food. I always love being in Alamo, but I was also glad to come home and sleep in my own bed. On Monday Jamie came over and her and I went to the fashion bug. I let Jaidyn come with us, but she was so naughty that I brought her home when we were done there and wouldn't let her come to lunch with us. We went and ate at Macayo's and it was really good as usual. After eating all that mexican food, we came back to my house and relaxed for a couple of hours. Then we went to the gym. Going to the gym after eating mexican food is not a good idea, even if you do wait a couple of hours. Jamie and i both felt sick by the time we were done working out. Our pool should be ready to swim in by this weekend. Well hopefully the water is warm enough. I can't wait to start swimming in it. The only thing that sucks is that Colin doesn't like going in the water at all, so we can't all swim at the same time. One of us will have to stay in the house with Colin. Eric doesn't like to swim much anyways, so I am sure he will hang out with Colin. I know Jaidyn will be excited when we can start swimming because she loves being in the water. She is scared to go past the steps, but she just loves being in the water. Here are a few pictures from this last weekend.

I am now officially a member of

Las Vegas Athletic Club. I had been thinking about joining for a while because Jamie is a member and she really likes working out there. She said she would drive over here so that we could go to the one by my house to work out together. I kept going back and forth about whether or not I wanted to join and i told her no. Mostly because I was afraid of joining and then not wanting to work out and wasting our money. Well I finally decided that I was going to join because I really need to get into shape. We went and worked out for the first time yesterday and I love it. I thought I would feel too uncomfortable working out in front of other people, but it didn't even bother me. I am glad I joined and i am glad Jamie and I can go together. Jamie bought me an ipod as an early birthday present. My birthday isn't until September, but she knew I wanted one and offered to buy it for me. So of course I took her up on it.lol I am excited for that too because I downloaded a bunch of good songs and now I will have something to listen to while I work out. Yesterday Jamie and I decided to go to the movies. We met at Town Square and saw the movie Obsessed. I thought it was pretty good. It is definitely a movie that I could watch again. I am looking forward to this weekend. Eric will have 3 days off and we are going to Sam's house on Saturday to swim and have a bbq with some of the family. I am looking forward to the swimming part. It has been so hot out and even though we have a pool of our own, it isn't warm enough to swim in yet. It probably won't be warm enough to swim in for at least a couple of weeks.

Disneyland

We left for Disneyland a little after 7:00 on Sunday morning. We got into Anaheim at about 11:15 and headed to Burger King to get some lunch before going to Disneyland. We got to Disneyland and it was so crowded. I knew it would be, but I didn't care because I knew we got to spend two more days there. We bought annual passes, so we are able to get into Disneyland park and California Adventure. We had never been to California Adventure before. As soon as we got to Disneyland, we went and got our pictures taken for our annual passes. After that, we headed straight to California Adventure. It was fun. We went on rides we had never been on before and got to see things we had never seen before. The park was open until midnight on Sunday, but there was no way we could stay that late. In fact we ended up leaving there by 5 or a little after. It was hot and the kids were exhausted. Colin had been very onery all day. We headed to Red Robin right after that. We sat there for 15 minutes and noone had even come to take our drink order. It wasn't even busy, so I think our waiter just forgot about us. I don't know how he could being as Colin seriously screamed his head off the entire time. So finally Eric got up and went and told someone that we hadn't been helped yet. We finally got our order taken and it seems like it took forever. Probably because Colin was still screaming his head off and Jaidyn kept trying to climb over the booth to the table behind her. After we ate, we ran across the street to target to pick up some milk and bottled water. Then we went and checked into our hotel. I really like the hotel we stayed at because you don't have to pay to park, plus you don't have to walk really far with all your bags like we have at a few places we have stayed at before. Once we got into our hotel room, the kids were no longer onery. I don't know what it is about hotels, but they love being in hotels. We woke up early Monday and got to the park an hour before it opened. I am glad we did because we got an awesome parking spot. We hardly had to walk at all to get to the tram. We got to go on a bunch of rides and hardly had to wait in line at all. I think the longest we had to wait was about 10 minutes and that was only for 1 ride. All the other rides were much shorter lines. By about 2:30 we decided to head back to the hotel because it was very hot and the kids were being very onery. Once we got back to the hotel, we decided to go swimming in the hotel pool. I read online before we got there that they had a heated pool, so I took our swimming suits along. Then we decided to eat at Red Robin once again. Nothing else sounded good for dinner and Red Robin has a good selection for everyone. Thankfully on Tuesday night we got in and out really quick and Colin didn't cry at all. On Tuesday we woke up and got ready, packed all our stuff, checked out of our hotel and headed to disneyland. We got there an hour early again, so we had awesome parking once again. On Tuesday we hardly had to wait in line for anything. Eric and Jaidyn went on the Pirates ride and walked right on, they didn't have to wait in line at all. We had a hard time leaving that day because we were having so much fun. Finally about 1:30 we got out of there. We drove straight home without making one stop and got home by 5:30. I am so glad we ended up buying the season passes. I loved being able to go to Disneyland for 3 days in a row and the kids really seemed to have enjoyed it too. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

A house full of sick people

Starting on Monday, Jaidyn had been telling me that her stomach hurt. I didn't really believe her because she was still eating really good and running around like usual. I just thought maybe she was saying it to get attention. So anyways she kept telling me that and then all of a sudden on Wednesday out of nowhere, she threw up all over the place. From then on, she kept on throwing up all afternoon. Finally by the time we went to bed, she had nothing left to throw up. Colin had thrown up on Monday morning, but hadn't thrown up since and he had been acting fine too. He did have alot of diarrhea and he would hardly eat anything all week. On Wednesday night before I went to bed, my stomach started to hurt and I was thinking great, I just know I am getting what Jaidyn has. Sure enough I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I needed to throw up. The only problem was that Eric was already in the bathroom throwing up. Good thing I had taken a pan upstairs for Jaidyn to throw up in since she can't make it to the bathroom in time. I had that to throw up in since Eric was already in the bathroom. Thankfully I only got sick a few times and that was it. Eric was in the bathroom almost all night long getting sick. I felt so bad for him. We woke up on Thursday and we both felt so sick still. He had to go into work for a little while since it was the last day of the month and he had reports to do. He went in for a couple of hours and got those done and came home. His mom came over around noon so that Jaidyn and I could go upstairs to rest and she watched Colin for me. It was nice to get in that nap because it really made me start to feel better. Eric and I woke up on Friday and felt all better. Jaidyn hadn't thrown up in a while, but she still looked so awful. She was so pale and had dark circles under her eyes. Plus I couldn't get her to pee. She was seriously only peeing once every 24 hours even though she seemed like she was drinking plenty of fluids. We had planned on going to Alamo with Jamie and since Jaidyn was feeling better, I decided we would still go up. We got there and Jaidyn had been doing good. Then all of a sudden she got sick. I think its because she hadn't eaten in a few days and she drank a whole bunch of pop. I thought the pop might help her stomach, but obviously it didn't. After that, she didn't get sick again and is much better now. I feel bad because now Jamie and my mom are both sick. I am not sure if they got sick from us or from Tyson or Ryan because they have also been sick with the stomach flu. Either way, it sucks that they are sick now. I had a good time in Alamo. I was glad that we got to go up there. It's always nice to visit with my mom. We leave for Disneyland in a week and I can't wait. I need to go to target this week and get all the travel things I always buy to take with us. I also need to catch up on all my laundry before we go. I am always good about keeping up on it, but since I was sick and then went to Alamo for a couple of days, I have alot of it to do. So Jamie is always telling me about the gym she goes to and that she really likes it. Well I really need to get into shape because I am in really bad shape. We bought that elliptical machine and I used it for a while and then stopped. So anyways Jamie told me that if I wanted to join, but didn't want to go alone that she would drive over here a few times a week to go with me. She goes to Las Vegas Athletic Club and there is one just a few mintues from my house. So after I get back from Disneyland, I am going to join and we are going to start going together. I am excited for that. I think that if I have someone to go with, that will make me go. If I was going by myself, I am afraid that I wouldn't make myself go.

My dad's party and Sesame Street.

We had my dad's surprise birthday party on Friday night at Sam's house. It turned out really nice. There were about 40 people or so that were there. Everyone was there before my dad. I am not sure if he was really surprised or if he saw it coming. It was really nice to get everyone together. My dads 2 sisters live out of town, so he doesn't get to see them very often, so I think he really enjoyed getting to visit with them for a bit. Andrea,Sam,Jamie and I went in together and bought him a new recliner. He really seemed to like it. After we gave it to him Eric, Jamie and I drove over to his house and got it moved inside for him and moved out his old chair. Here is a picture of all of us girls with my dad.
I was so exhausted yesterday when I woke up because we had been up so late on Friday night. We are having Eric's parents over for dinner later today, so there were some things I wanted to make for that yesterday morning. So I spent a couple of hours yesterday making a suddenly salad, pie and cutting up strawberries. We had bought tickets to go to sesame street live last night. So we ate dinner around 4 and left here around 4:30. We got there around 5 and went and got souvenirs and popcorn and then found our seats. We sat there for about 20 minutes before the show started. Colin was doing really good for a long time then all of a sudden he got bored of sitting there. So for about 20 minutes, he would be whiny and then stop and it lasted until they had a 15 minute intermission. We had to lie to Jaidyn and tell her the show was over because we knew that Colin wouldn't make it for another 45 minutes. She seemed fine with that. They had brought out elmo balloons, so Eric told her we could buy one and then leave. She was so excited and she told us the whole way home that she had alot of fun at the elmo show. I was glad that we were able to take them. I just wish Colin wouldn't have been so whiny so that we could have stayed for the whole thing.

The terrible twos?

I really think that Jaidyn is just now going through her terrible twos at the age of 3. These last couple of months she has been horrible. She yells at me constantly and whines over everything. She used to never be this way. I just really hope it goes away soon. I don't know if Eric or I can handle anymore of it. I honestly thought Eric was going to spank her butt last night. It usually takes alot to make him mad, but by the end of the day yesterday, we had both had it with her. On Friday, I was supposed to go to dinner with Ashlee without the kids. Eric was going to his parents for dinner, so we he was going to take the kids with him. When the time came to leave, Jaidyn threw a huge fit because she wanted to go to dinner with Ashlee and I. Of course Eric said she could go with us. So I ended up taking her with us and she screamed and cried the whole time because I forgot to put a bow in her hair. I swear it lasted forever. I finally called Eric to tell him to come and get her because I didn't want her screaming like that in the middle of the restaurant while everyone was trying to eat. Once I threatened her with that, she stopped whining. Our food got there and after that she was fine. I just couldn't believe she was throwing a huge fit like that just because I forgot to put a bow in her hair. On Saturday morning Jamie came over so that we could go buy my dad a new recliner. His birthday is next week and we are throwing a surprise party for him on Friday night since he is turning 60. Alot of his family and friends will be there. Anyways we all decided to go in together and buy him a recliner because he really needs and wants a new one. Jamie and I went shopping for one and found the perfect one. I think he is really going to like it. After that Jamie, Jaidyn and I went to the mall. I had ordered Jaidyn some new sandals and they didn't fit, so I wanted to take them back and find a new pair. We shopped there for a while and then came home. Eric's parents and his brother came over shortly after that for dinner and to watch the NASCAR race. Sunday we woke up and went to Wal Mart first thing to get our groceries. We were there for an hour because we had so many groceries to buy. We just spent the rest of the day hanging out and watching tv. I felt so tired yesterday, that I couldn't make myself do anything. Jamie wanted me to go to the movies with her and I couldn't even make myself do that. I have to make 3 dozen cupcakes for my dad's birthday party. I am going to do that on Friday in the day since his party doesn't start until 7. Andrea, my mom and the boys are coming to town Friday morning. My mom is going to go to Sam's house and help her get stuff ready and Andrea and the boys are coming over here to hang out and help me with the cupcakes. It should be a fun day. I am really looking forward to my dads party because I know how happy and surprised he is going to be. Eric's parents offered to babysit the kids for us since the party doesn't start until 7. We are going to leave Colin home with them, but we are going to take Jaidyn. There will be other kids around her age there, so she will have someone to play with.

Easter

Saturday was a pretty busy day for me. I woke up first thing and boiled eggs so that we could get them colored. After letting them cool for about half an hour, Jaidyn and I started to color them. She really wasn't interested in coloring them, so she just watched me do it. I thought for sure that when it came time to put the stickers on, that would be something she would enjoy. Wrong, she once again wanted to watch me do it and not do any of it herself. Here is a picture of her once we got all the eggs colored. All she wanted to do was carry the basket around all day.
After getting the eggs done. I had to make a better than sex cake to take to dinner on Sunday at Eric's parents house. I got that all made and Eric's parents showed up to our house about 30 minutes later. We hadn't seen them since they got into town, so they came over to spend the day and they had offered to babysit the kids so Eric and I could go out by ourselves. I had an appointment to get my haircut, but before I left Eric's parents kept trying to talk me out of cutting my hair. It was really annoying because I was sick of it being longer and I was ready for a change. Even though they kept making me feel like it was a bad idea to cut it, I did it anyways. I am so glad I did because I love it the way it is now. It is so much easier to fix everyday and it feels so much healthier. Plus it looks cute. The lady cutting it was so nice and I will definately go back to her to get it done again. I don't have a picture of my haircut right now, but I will post it once I have Eric take a picture. About an hour after I got home, we decided to go on our little date. I put Colin down for a nap before we left and he fell right to sleep. When it was time for us to leave, Jaidyn threw a huge fit because she wanted to go with us. Eric felt bad and told her she could go. At first I was kind of sad because we never get out of the house by ourselves and I was really looking forward to it. But after we were in the truck I realized it was good that we were taking Jaidyn with us because she never gets to spend time with us by herself. So off we went to Sam's Club and then Target. What a great date, but what else were we supposed to do since we had Jaidyn with us. Then we went to The Olive Garden. We were home by 5:30. Jamie had asked me since I was home so early if I wanted to go see Fast and Furious with her. Eric didn't mind since he didn't want to see it anyways. Jamie came over and we headed to The Red Rock to see the movie. It was really good and I can't wait to watch it again. On Sunday we woke up and the kids were very excited to find all the easter eggs around the house and see their easter baskets. Here are some pictures.

They spent most of the morning eating candy from their easter baskets. We headed over to Eric's parents house around noon for dinner. We ate dinner with his family and then his parents did a little egg hunt in their backyard. Jaidyn had a good time. Colin wanted nothing to do with it and wouldn't even walk. I think it's because the grass isn't level and he didn't like walking on it. Here are some pictures from that.

Time for a haircut

I have been growing out my hair for a few months now, but I have finally decided that I can't let it grow any longer. It is driving me crazy. It seems like I can't even do anything with it and it looks horrible all the time. So I have decided I want to go shorter. Here is a picture of the haircut I want.

I am always scared to let someone I have never been to before cut my hair. I had been having Jenna do it, but since she just had a baby, I don't know that she will be cutting hair for a while. So Ashlee referred me to a lady that she used to go to and her mom still does. The cool thing is that the salon is not even 5 minutes from my house. I have an appointment tomorrow and I can't wait. I just hope it turns out the way I want it to. Eric's parents got into town last night and they will be staying for a few weeks. They offered to babysit for us tomorrow so that we can go out to dinner and maybe a movie. We hardly ever get to go anywhere without the kids, so it will be really nice. So it looks like I will actually have a busy weekend. Tomorrow I have to color easter eggs with the kids, bake a cake, get my hair cut and then Eric and I will go out on our "date".lol Then Sunday we are having an easter dinner at Eric's parents house with his whole family. His parents are planning an easter egg hunt in their backyard for the kids, so that should be fun for them. At the beginning of this week Eric and I decided to go ahead and buy our season passes to Disneyland. He said that he wanted to go back on Mother's Day weekend. I was so excited because I really wanted to try and go in May before school gets out and it gets really busy at Disneyland, but I wasn't sure if Eric could take the days off work. Well thankfully he can. We already booked our hotel on priceline and we got a 3 star hotel for just $43 a night. I seriously love priceline. If it weren't for priceline, we wouldn't be able to go on trips as often. We seriously get the nicest hotels for half the price, sometimes even less. Anyways we figured we would drive to Cali on Mothers day and maybe hit disneyland that afternoon. They are open until midnight that night. We figured now that we have the season passes and you can go for as many days in a row that you want, we might as well take advantage of that. Then we will spend all day Monday at Disneyland and then go back first thing Tuesday morning and stay until about 12 or 1. That way we can head home after that and still get home at a decent time since Eric will have to work the next day. I just hope it isn't too busy. I wouldn't think it would be since noone is on spring break and noone is out for summer yet. Plus we will be going on a Monday and tuesday which I wouldn't think would be as busy. We will see though. I am really excited and I am so glad that Eric likes taking the kids to disneyland as much as I do. I am glad he let us get the season passes. This way we can go back as many times as we want this year. However after our May trip, we probably won't be going back until September or October because it is always way too crowded in the summertime. Jaidyn was very excited to learn that we are going back to disneyland next month. She is always asking if we can go back.
